Front Door Limiter: Service and Repair

51 21 280 Removing And Installing/Replacing Door Arrester On Left Or Right Front Door

Fully raise door window to end position.
Remove door trim panel. Disconnect battery negative lead.
Secure front door in completely open position.







Release seal (1) from fasteners (3).
Release Torx screws (2) and (3).

(2) 6AZ Door retainer to A-pillar 23 Nm

(3) 7AZ Door retainer to door 10 Nm

Remove door arrester.

Installation: Check following parts of door arrester before installation:
1 Hinge
2 Thread
3 Seal(1)
