24 00 028 - Removing and installing transmission (CVT)





Note:
After completion of work, check transmission fluid level Service and Repair.





Important!
Use only the approved automatic transmission fluid in this automatic transmission.
Failure to comply with this instruction will result in serious damage to the transmission.

Switch off ignition.
Disconnect battery Instructions for Disconnecting and Connecting Battery.
Remove engine.
Remove throttle Service and Repair.





Note:
Release extraction line from clips on fuel rail and remove hose from cover/test opening.





Release clip (1) of coolant line and disconnect coolant line (2) from thermostat housing.





Detach plug connector (1) of speed sensor, detach plug connector (2) from interlock switch and remove retaining clips of wiring harness.
Remove wiring harness.
Pay attention to routing of wiring harness.





Disconnect transmission plug connector (1) and detach retaining clips of wiring harness.
Remove wiring harness.
Pay attention to routing of wiring harness.





Unscrew mounting bolts (1) for closing plate and remove closing plate (2).
Tightening torque 24 11 5AZ [1][2]Fluid Pan, CVT.





Unscrew mounting bolts (1) for starter motor and remove starter motor.
Mounting bolts (1) of starter motor: 65 mm.
Tightening torque 12 41 4AZ.





Remove mounting bolts (1), (2), (3) and (4) of transmission.
Bolt length:
(1)50 mm
(2)60 mm
(3)65 mm
(4)75 mm
Tightening torque 24 11 4AZ [1][2]Fluid Pan, CVT.
Note: This illustration shows the transmission mounting bolts.





Important!
The transmission mounting bolts differ in length.
Installing the wrong bolts may cause serious damage.
