Repair instruction regarding squeaking noise from the side windows

Complaint
The customer complains that when the windows are closed squeaking or grating noises occur while the vehicle is being driven from the area of the window seal.

Cause
Squeaking noise arises due to relative movement between side window and window seal.

Repair instruction
Treat the window seals with BMW special anti-friction agent.
The seals do not need to be removed for the treatment. To prevent soiling on other components, remove excess anti-friction agent with a dry cloth.

Note
Investigations have shown that coating the shrim with Aquapel is not conducive to achieving objectives in the long run.
For this reason, in the event of a complain the side windows are no longer to be coated with Aquapel as described to date.
