SITUATION

MINI owners moving from Canada to the USA, or USA to Canada, request that their instrument cluster be converted from Kilometers to Miles, or from Miles to Kilometers.

PROCEDURE

1. Install replacement parts as follows:

^ Vehicles equipped with Navigation (option code 609):

^ Speedometer and Revolution Counter (Double Instruments) - Refer to EPC*

^ Vehicles without Navigation:

^ Revolution Counter - Refer to EPC*

^ Instrument Cluster - Refer to EPC*

* Select the part applicable for the country of use.

2. Code the installed parts to complete the installation.

^ Connect GT1/SSS using the diagnostic head

^ Select "Coding/Programming"

^ Select "ZCS/FA coding"

^ Select MINI

^ Select "Conversions" / "USA-Canada" and follow the on-screen instructions.
