Replacing Left Hand Driveshaft Seal (5 Speed)
Special tools required:
^ 11 1 220
^ 26 1 080

Drain gearbox oil.

Remove left hand driveshaft.





Use a screwdriver to lever out radial seal (1) from transmission housing.

Note: Care should be taken not to damage the transmission casing.





Using special tool 26 1 080 and special tool 11 1 220 fit seal into casing until the outer seal ring is flush with the transmission casing.

Install hint:
Push output shaft over resistance of snap ring.
Output shaft must snap audibly into place.

Refill gearbox with oil and check for leaks.
