B-Pillar Trim Panel

Removal and Installation

1. Remove the lower B-pillar trim panel.
- Pull the lower B-pillar trim panel toward the center of the vehicle to release the retaining clips.

2. Position the front seat forward.

3. Depower the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS). For additional information, refer to Air Bag Systems.

4. Position aside the front and rear door opening weatherstrips.

5. Remove the front safety belt anchor-to-seat nut cover.
- Pull the top of the cover outward and then lift upward.





6. Remove the front safety belt anchor-to-seat nut.
- To install, tighten to 35 Nm (26 lb-ft).





7. NOTE: Passenger seat only.

Disconnect the safety Belt Tension Sensor (BTS) electrical connector.





8. Remove the B-pillar screw cover.

9. Remove the B-pillar screw.

10. Remove the upper B-pillar trim panel.
- Pull the lower upper B-pillar trim panel toward the center of the vehicle to release the retaining clips.

- Lower the upper B-pillar trim panel from the headliner.

- Separate the safety belt from the upper B-pillar trim panel.

11. NOTICE: To avoid damage to the B-pillar trim panel, remove any retaining clips from the body and attach them to the B-pillar trim panel before installing.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
