Pinpoint Test R: The Heated Seat Does Not Operate Correctly - Seat Does Heat But the Heated Seat Indicator Does Not Illuminate When Pressed
Refer to Wiring Diagram Set 119, Climate Controlled Seats for schematic and connector information. Diagrams By Number
Normal Operation
The heated seat indicators on the HVAC module are controlled by the heated seat module. The heated seat module supplies voltage to the indicators and the HVAC module supplies an internal ground circuit to the indicators. In high heat mode, the heated seat module supplies voltage to circuit CHS13 (VT/BN) on the driver seat or CHS14 (GN) on the passenger seat to illuminate both indicators above the heated seat switch button. In low heat mode, the heated seat module supplies voltage to circuit CHS04 (YE/GY) on the driver seat or CHS09 (GY) on the passenger seat to illuminate only one indicator. When off, neither indicator illuminates.
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Heated seat module
- HVAC module
PINPOINT TEST R: THE HEATED SEAT DOES NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY - SEAT DOES HEAT BUT THE HEATED SEAT INDICATOR DOES NOT ILLUMINATE WHEN PRESSED
NOTE: The air bag warning indicator illuminates when the correct Restraints Control Module (RCM) fuse is removed and the ignition switch is ON.
NOTE: The Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) must be fully operational and free of faults before releasing the vehicle to the customer.
