Transmission Cooling
Transmission Cooling
The transmission fluid cooler is an Oil-To-Air (OTA) transmission fluid cooler with a thermostatic bypass valve. The transmission fluid cooler is part of the A/C condenser core assembly and cannot be serviced separately.
- When the transmission fluid is cold and the thermostatic valve is closed, transmission fluid does not circulate through the transmission fluid cooler.
- As the transmission fluid temperature increases, the thermostatic bypass valve opens and allows transmission fluid to circulate through the transmission fluid cooler.
