Test L: The Low Fuel Warning Indicator Is Never/Always On
PINPOINT TEST L: THE LOW FUEL WARNING INDICATOR IS NEVER/ALWAYS ONNormal Operation
The low fuel indicator illuminates when the distance to empty (DTE) calculation reaches 80 km (50 miles) or less. The DTE is calculated internally by the instrument cluster from data received from the PCM and the fuel gauge. When the instrument cluster receives the data and calculates 80 km (50 miles) or less of fuel remaining in the fuel tank, the fuel gauge indicates low fuel and the instrument cluster turns on the low fuel indicator.
