Test A: The Instrument Cluster Is Inoperative

PINPOINT TEST A: THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER IS INOPERATIVE

Normal Operation
With the ignition switch in the START or RUN position, the instrument cluster receives voltage from the SJB through circuit CBP29 (WH/VT). With the ignition switch in the OFF position, the instrument cluster receives its keep-alive voltage from the SJB through circuit SBP26 (YE/RD). The instrument cluster grounding is through circuit GD111 (BK/BU). The instrument cluster sets DTC U2472 in continuous memory and on-demand if the RUN/START input, circuit CBP29 (WH/VT), is open or if the SJB fuse 29 (5A) has failed.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Fuse(s)
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Instrument cluster
