CONSOLE - FRONT, FLOOR







Removal and Installation

NOTE: Taurus X shown, Taurus and Sable similar.

1. Remove the floor shifter trim ring.
2. Remove the floor console center finish panel.
3. Remove the 2 floor console-to-instrument panel screws.
- To install, tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).







4. Remove the floor console LH and RH finish panels.
- To install, apply 110 Nm (81 lb-ft) of force to the Dylock pad area in the front of the panel.

5. Remove the 2 floor console front bolts.
6. Position the front seats forward.
7. Remove the 2 floor console rear bolts.
8. Position the front seats rearward.
9. Disconnect the 3 electrical connectors.







10. Remove the floor console.
11. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
