Inspection and Verification

1. Verify the customer concern by operating the transmission external control.
2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical and electrical damage, incorrect component installation and component misalignment. Verify that all circuit-related systems are functioning correctly. Refer to DTC Chart. [1][2]Diagnostic Trouble Code Descriptions

3. If the fault is not visually evident, GO to Symptom Chart - Column Shift or GO to Symptom Chart - Floor Shift. Symptom Chart - Column Shift Symptom Chart - Floor Shift
