Disconnect and Connect

WARNING:

- When handling fuel, always observe fuel handling precautions and be prepared in the event of fuel spillage. Spilled fuel may be ignited by hot vehicle components or other ignition sources. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious personal injury.

1. Release the fuel system pressure.
2. Remove the fuel tube safety clip.







3. Install the special tool onto the spring lock coupling.







4. Close and push the special tool into the open side of the cage.







5. Disconnect the spring lock coupling from the tube fitting.







6. To connect, reverse the disconnect procedure.
- Inspect and clean both the spring lock coupling and the tube fitting.
- Lubricate the O-ring seals with clean engine oil.
