Sunroof / Moonroof: Description and Operation

ROOF OPENING PANEL

The roof opening panel consists of the following components:
- Roof opening panel control switch (part of the overhead console)
- Roof opening panel glass seal (part of the roof opening panel glass)
- Roof opening panel glass
- Roof opening panel trim
- Air deflector
- Roof opening panel shield
- Roof opening panel trough
- Roof opening panel module (part of the roof opening panel motor)
- Roof opening panel motor
- Roof opening panel

The roof opening panel control switch is located on the overhead console. The roof opening panel is equipped with a one-touch open feature.

To open the roof opening panel:
- For one-touch operation, press the control switch rearward and release; this will fully open the roof opening panel.
- To stop one-touch operation at the desired position, press the control in any direction and release.

To close the roof opening panel:
- Press and hold the control switch in the rearward direction until the glass panel stops moving.

To open the roof opening panel to the VENT position, the roof opening panel must be in the CLOSED position first. Press and hold the control switch in the forward direction. To close, press and hold the control switch in the rearward direction until the glass panel stops moving.
