Removal and Installation
1. WARNING: Shut off the electrical power to the air suspension system prior to hoisting or jacking an air suspension equipped vehicle. Failure to do so may result in unexpected inflation or deflation of the air springs, which may result in shifting of the vehicle during these operations. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.
Turn the air suspension switch OFF, if equipped.
2. WARNING: If equipped with fire suppression system, refer to Fire Suppression System for Important Safety Warnings. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.
With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
3. Disconnect each fluid cooler hose from the transmission fluid cooler, as necessary.
4. Disconnect the fluid cooler tube(s) from the retainer.
5. Remove the nut retaining the tube routing bracket to the A\C compressor.
^ To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-inch).
6. Disconnect each fluid cooler tube from the transmission, as necessary.
^ To install, tighten to 20 Nm (15 lb-ft).
7. Disconnect the fluid cooler hose(s) from the fluid cooler tube(s).
8. Remove the bolt retaining the line routing bracket to the engine and remove the transmission fluid cooler tube(s).
^ To install, tighten to 15 Nm (11 lb-ft).
9. WARNING: If equipped with fire suppression system, refer to Fire Suppression System for Important Safety Warnings. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.
To install, reverse the removal procedure. If equipped with fire suppression system, repower the system.
^ Fill the transmission to the correct level with clean automatic transmission fluid. Inspect for leaks.
