PINPOINT TEST A: THE MESSAGE CENTER IS NOT OPERATING CORRECTLYNormal Operation
The message center functionality is controlled through the message center switch. The RESET and SETUP buttons are hardwired to the instrument cluster (IC) through circuit 143 (LB/YE). The INFO and SELECT buttons are hardwired to the instrument cluster (IC) through circuit 152 (LB/WH). The message center switch return is routed back to the instrument cluster (IC) through circuit 1411 (GY/OG). Each message center switch uses a different resistance value allowing the instrument cluster (IC) to determine which switch is pressed.
