Normal Operation
The air bag warning indicator provides an indication that there is a restraint system concern and the air bag may be inoperable or have degraded performance. If the restraints control module (RCM) communicates with the instrument cluster over the communication network whether or not to illuminate the air bag warning indicator. If the instrument cluster loses communication with the RCM, the instrument cluster illuminates the air bag warning indicator.
