Test C: The Steering Wheel Control Illumination Is Inoperative
PINPOINT TEST C: THE STEERING WHEEL CONTROL ILLUMINATION IS INOPERATIVEC1-C3:
C3 Continued:
Normal Operation
The smart junction box (SJB) sends a pulse-width modulated (PWM) voltage to the steering wheel controls through circuit 1417 (LG/RD) to the clockspring. The voltage passes through the clockspring to the steering wheel control harness and on to the steering wheel controls. Ground for the steering wheel controls are supplied through circuit 1205 (BK).
Possible Causes
- Circuit 1417 (LG/RD) open
- Clockspring
- Steering wheel controls
