Engine Support Insulators - RHSpecial Tool(s):
Removal and Installation
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
2. Remove the cowl vent screen.
3. Remove the RH catalytic converter.
4. Remove the RH halfshaft.
5. Remove and discard the roll restrictor cross brace-to-roll restrictor bolt.
^ To install, tighten to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft).
6. NOTE: LH shown, RH similar.
Remove the 4 roll restrictor cross brace bolts.
^ Remove the cross brace.
^ To install, tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).
7. Remove the 3 bolts and the RH exhaust manifold heat shield.
^ To install, tighten to 11 Nm (8 lb-ft).
8. Remove the engine support insulator lower nut.
^ To install, tighten to 70 Nm (52 lb-ft).
9. Remove the engine support insulator upper nut.
^ To install, tighten to 70 Nm (52 lb-ft).
10. Remove the bolt and detach the power steering pressure (PSP) tube from the RH cylinder head.
^ To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).
11. Mount the special tool to the RH cylinder head.
12. Using the special tools, raise the engine to gain the clearance necessary to remove the insulator.
^ Remove the engine support insulator.
13. CAUTION: Make sure that the engine support insulator locator pin is aligned correctly with the bracket.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
