Removal and Installation
1. Drain the cooling system.
2. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
3. Disconnect the degas bottle-to-thermostat housing hose and position aside.
4. Disconnect the throttle body-to-thermostat housing hose and position aside.
5. Disconnect the upper radiator-to-thermostat housing hose and position aside.
6. Disconnect the bypass tube-to-thermostat housing hose and position aside.
7. Disconnect the heater hose from the thermostat housing and position aside.
8. Disconnect the lower radiator-to-thermostat housing hose and position aside.
9. Remove the 2 bolts and the thermostat housing.
^ Discard the O-ring seal.
^ To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
10. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
^ Install a new O-ring on the thermostat housing and lubricate with clean engine coolant.
11. Fill and bleed the cooling system.
