Test Q: The Traction Control Indicator Is Never/Always On

PINPOINT TEST Q: THE TRACTION CONTROL INDICATOR IS NEVER/ALWAYS ON

Q1:

Q2-Q4:

Normal Operation
The traction control indicator flashes when the traction control is in an active mode. The traction control indicator remains constantly illuminated (not flashing) if there is a malfunction of the traction control or the all wheel drive (AWD) system. The instrument cluster receives and monitors the traction control signal from the anti-lock brake system (ABS) module or the differential electronic module (DEM) through the communication network. When the ABS module or the DEM detects a concern, the instrument cluster illuminates the traction control indicator.

Possible Causes
- ABS module
- AWD system
- Instrument cluster
