Test J: The Stoplamps Are On Continuously
PINPOINT TEST J: THE STOPLAMPS ARE ON CONTINUOUSLYJ1-J2:
Normal Operation
When the brake pedal is applied, the stoplamp switch closes and routes voltage to the high mounted stoplamp and the multifunction switch through circuit 10 (LG/RD). The multifunction switch then routes the voltage through circuits 9 (LG/OG) and 5 (OG/LB) to the LH and RH rear lamps, respectively.
Possible Causes
- Circuit 5 (OG/LB) short to voltage
- Circuit 9 (LG/OG) short to voltage
- Circuit 10 (LG/RD) short to voltage
- Stoplamp switch
- Multifunction switch
