Normal Operation
When the ignition switch is turned to the ON or START position, the instrument cluster illuminates the yellow anti-lock brake system (ABS) warning indicator. Once the ABS module has performed a self-check, a message is sent along the CAN bus to the instrument cluster to turn the indicator off. When the ABS module detects a fault in the ABS system, a message is sent to the instrument cluster to illuminate the indicator.
