Removal and Installation
1. WARNING: Turn off the electrical power to the air suspension prior to hoisting, jacking, or towing an air suspension equipped vehicle. Failure to do so can result in unexpected inflation or deflation of the air springs, which can result in shifting of the vehicle during these operations. Failure to follow these instructions can result in personal injury.
Turn the air suspension switch OFF, if equipped.
2. WARNING: If equipped with fire suppression system, depower the system. For important safety warnings and procedures, refer to Fire Suppression System.
With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
3. Disconnect each fluid cooler hose from the transmission fluid cooler, as necessary.
4. Disconnect the fluid cooler tube(s) from the retainer.
5. Remove the nut retaining the tube routing bracket to the A\C compressor.
^ To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
6. Disconnect each fluid cooler tube from the transmission, as necessary.
^ To install, tighten to 20 Nm (15 lb-ft).
7. Disconnect the fluid cooler hose(s) from the fluid cooler tube(s).
8. Remove the bolt retaining the line routing bracket to the engine and remove the transmission fluid cooler tube(s).
^ To install, tighten to 15 Nm (11 lb-ft).
9. WARNING: If equipped with fire suppression system, repower the system. For important safety warnings and procedures, refer to Fire Suppression System.
To install, reverse the removal procedure. If equipped with fire suppression system, repower the system.
^ Fill the transmission to the correct level with clean automatic transmission fluid. Inspect for leaks.
