Test A: The Instrument Cluster Is Inoperative

Normal Operation
With the ignition switch in the RUN position, the instrument cluster receives voltage from the central junction box (CJB) through circuit 1003 (GY/YE). With the ignition switch in the START or RUN position, the instrument cluster receives voltage from the CJB through circuit 640 (RD/YE). With the ignition switch in the OFF position, the instrument cluster receives its keep-alive battery voltage from the CJB through circuit 54 (LG/YE). The instrument cluster grounding is through circuits 57 (BK) and 676 (PK/OG).

Possible Causes
- Fuse(s)
- Circuit 54 (LG/YE) open
- Circuit 57 (BK) open
- Circuit 640 (RD/YE) open
- Circuit 676 (PK/OG) open
- Circuit 1003 (GY/YE) open
- Instrument cluster
