Normal Operation
The message center switch is hardwired to the instrument cluster through circuits CMC29 (GN/VT) and RMC27 (WH/BN). To communicate the requested switch function, each message center switch button uses a different resistance value, allowing the instrument cluster to determine which switch is pressed.

Possible Causes
- circuit CMC29 (GN/VT) open, short to ground, or short to voltage
- circuit RMC27 (WH/BN) open, short to ground, or short to voltage
- message center switch
- instrument cluster
