Test A: The Ignition Switch Is Inoperative
Pinpoint Test A: The Ignition Switch Is InoperativeNormal Operation
Fused battery voltage is provided to the ignition switch from battery junction box (BJB) fuses 1 (20A) and 2 (25A) along circuits 1050 (LG/VT) and 1715 (RD) respectively. The ignition switch then provides power to the central junction box (CJB), the driver door module and the lighting control module through several different circuits depending on the ignition switch state of operation. The ignition switch has 4 possible states of operation:
^ OFF - No power on any circuits.
^ ACC - Power on circuits:
- 296 (WH/VT)
- 158 (BK/PK)
^ RUN - Power on circuits:
- 296 (WH/VT)
- 158 (BK/PK)
- 1717 (VT/OG)
- 687 (GY/YE)
- 294 (WH/LB)
^ START - Power on circuits:
- 158 (BK/PK)
- 1717 (VT/OG)
- 1522 (DG)
Possible Causes
^ Fuse(s)
^ Circuit open
^ Circuit shorted
^ Ignition switch
