Normal Operation
The message center functionality is controlled through the message center switches, which are hardwired to the instrument cluster. The instrument cluster monitors the message center switch input by sending reference signals through circuits 143 (LB/YE) and 152 (LB/WH). The message center switch return signal is routed back to the instrument cluster through circuit 1411 (GY/OG).

Possible Causes
- circuit 143 (LB/YE) open, short to ground, or short to voltage
- circuit 152 (LB/WH) open, short to ground, or short to voltage
- circuit 1411 (GY/OG) open or short to voltage
- message center switch
- instrument cluster
