ISSUE
Some 2005 Taurus/Sable vehicles built during October 2004, equipped with the 3.0L 2V engine and engine build dates of 9/27/2004 and 9/28/2004 only, may exhibit a hard start, excessive oil pressure and/or oil leaks at the oil filter 0-ring. This may be caused by the pressure relief valve in the oil pump.
ACTION
Check the oil pressure. If above 150 psi with a warm engine, replace the oil pump.
