Throttle Body: Service and Repair

THROTTLE BODY

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube.







3. Remove the pin-type retainers and the snow shield.







4. Disconnect the accelerator cable, speed control cable and throttle return spring from the throttle body.







5. Remove the bolts and position the accelerator cable bracket aside.







6. Disconnect the throttle position (TP) sensor electrical connector.







7. Remove the throttle body.
- Remove the throttle body retaining bolts.
- Remove the throttle body.

8. Remove and discard the throttle body gasket.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
2. Clean all sealing surfaces and install a new throttle body gasket.
