PRINCIPLES OF OPERATION

The brake pedal position (BPP) switch routes power to circuit 810 (RD/LG) when the brake pedal is pressed.

For Taurus sedans, circuit 810 (RD/LG) routes power to the high mounted stoplamp and the multifunction switch which, in turn, routes power to the LH and RH rear turn/stoplamps.

For wagons and Sable sedans, circuit 810 (RD/LG) routes power to the high mounted stoplamp and the rear stoplamps.
