Windshield Washer Reservoir: Service and Repair

WINDSHIELD WASHER PUMP AND RESERVOIR







Removal and Installation







1. Disconnected the washer pump and washer fluid level sensors.







2. WARNING: Windshield washer solution contains methanol, which is poisonous. Observe all cautions and warnings indicated on label of washer solution container.

NOTE:
- To prevent spilling windshield washer fluid, drain the windshield washer reservoir before removal.
- Upper radiator hose removed for clarity.

Disconnect the A/C line bracket, and the washer pump hose(s).
1 Disconnect the A/C line retainer.
2 Disconnect the windshield washer hose.
3 Disconnect the rear window washer hose (if equipped).







3. Remove the 3 windshield washer reservoir bolts.
- To install, tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).

4. WARNING: Windshield washer solution contains methanol, which is poisonous. Observe all cautions and warnings indicated on label of washer solution container.

CAUTION: Do not operate the windshield washer pump prior to filling the windshield reservoir.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Fill the windshield washer reservoir.
