C4-C5:
Normal Operation
Under normal operation, when the headlamps are turned ON, the SJB sends voltage to the headlamp low beams through (LH) circuit 1338 (WH) and (RH) circuit 1336 (LG/WH). (Montego only: This voltage triggers the low beams. Voltage for the low beams is provided through (LH) circuit 1724 (WH/LG) and (RH) circuit 1779 (DB/LG). Ground for the headlamp low beams is provided through circuit 1205 (BK).
Possible Causes
- An open in circuit 1205 (BK), 1338 (WH), 1336 (LG/WH), 1724 (WH/LG) or 1779 (DB/LG)
- A short to ground in circuit 1338 (WH) or 1336 (LG/WH)
- Lamp
- Smart junction box (SJB)
