LOOSE REAR DOOR SEAL

ISSUE
Some 2005 Five Hundred/Montego vehicles built between 2/1/2005 through 7/1/2005 may exhibit a loose rear door opening (secondary) seal.

ACTION
Refer to the following Service Procedure to secure the loose seal to the vehicle using weatherstrip adhesive. Do not replace the seal for this condition.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Pull the rear door seal away from the metal flange in the areas indicated in Figure 1 to allow the application of the adhesive.





2. Apply TA-14, Motorcraft Trim and Weatherstrip Adhesive, or equivalent in the locations indicated in Figure 1.

3. Reseat the weatherstrip.
