ISSUE
Some 2005-2006 Five Hundred/Montego FWD only vehicles built through 12/13/2005 may exhibit a noise from the rear suspension when cold, usually under 15° F (-9° C). This may be described as a thump/clunk or rattle that goes away after vehicle is driven or allowed to warm up in a heated shop. If noise is present during higher temperatures or does not go away after vehicle is driven, proceed with normal diagnosis.
