Test W: The Fog Lamps Are On Continuously
PINPOINT TEST W: THE FOG LAMPS ARE ON CONTINUOUSLYW1-W3:
W3-W5:
Normal Operation
Under normal operation, when fog lamps are selected, the headlamp switch sends a ground signal to the smart junction box (SJB) through circuit 1406 (YE/LG). The SJB then sends voltage to the fog lamp relay coil through circuit 1347 (DB/WH). When the relay is energized, voltage is sent to the fog lamps through circuit 1776 (TN/OG).
Possible Causes
- A short to ground in circuit 1406 (YE/LG)
- A short to voltage in circuit 1347 (DB/WH) or 1776 (TN/OG)
- Fog lamp relay
- Headlamp switch
- Smart junction box (SJB)
