Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

Inspection and Verification
1. Verify the customer concern by operating the parking brake system to duplicate the condition.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Inspect to determine if one of the following mechanical or electrical concerns applies:

4. Spin both rear wheels by hand. If rear wheels don't spin, Go to Pinpoint Test B. While both wheels are spinning, pull down on the brake cable behind the brake cable adjuster. If brakes do not apply, Go to Pinpoint Test A. Test B Test A
5. If inspection reveals obvious concern(s) that can be readily identified, repair as necessary.
6. If the concerns remain after the inspection, GO to Symptom Chart. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
