Fuel Injector Wiring Harness: Service and Repair
FUEL CHARGING WIRING HARNESSREMOVAL
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
2. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
3. Remove the cowl vent screen and the RH cowl extension.
4. Remove the bolt from the engine control sensor wire harness ground connections.
5. Loosen the bolt and disconnect the powertrain control module (PCM).
6. Remove the upper intake manifold.
7. Disconnect the evaporative emissions (EVAP) canister purge valve electrical connector.
8. Disconnect the oxygen sensor electrical connector.
9. Disconnect the fuel injector electrical connectors.
10. Disconnect the differential pressure feedback exhaust (DPFE) gas recirculation system valve electrical connector.
11. Disconnect the generator electrical connectors.
12. Disconnect the A/C cutout switch electrical connector.
13. Disconnect the ignition coil electrical connector.
14. Disconnect the following electrical connectors:
- camshaft position (CMP) sensor
- engine oil pressure sender
- engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor
15. Disconnect the output shaft speed sensor (OSS) electrical connector.
16. Disconnect the 42-pin engine harness connector and transmission solenoid connector.
17. Disconnect the oxygen sensor electrical connectors.
18. Disconnect the A/C compressor clutch electrical connector.
19. Disconnect the starter motor.
20. For flexible fuel engines, disconnect the secondary air induction electrical connector.
21. Remove the engine control sensor wire harness from the engine.
INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
