Power Steering Fluid Cooler: Service and Repair

Removal and Installation





1. WARNING: The electrical power to the air suspension system must be turned off prior to hoisting, jacking or towing an air suspension vehicle. Failure to do so can result in unexpected inflation or deflation of the air springs, which can result in shifting of the vehicle during these operations.

Turn the air suspension service switch off





2. Remove the pushpins and the radiator cover shield.





3. Remove the two condenser-to-radiator nuts.





4. Remove the two bolts and brackets.





5. Loosen the clamps and disconnect the hoses.
^ Drain the fluid into a suitable container.
6. Raise and support the vehicle.





7. Loosen the clamps and disconnect the hoses.
^ Drain the fluid into a suitable container.





8. Remove the two cooler-to-radiator bolts.
9. Lower the vehicle.





10. Position the radiator rearward and remove the cooler and hoses
11. To install reverse the removal procedure
12. Fill, purge and check the system for leaks.
