Fuel Injector Wiring Harness: Service and Repair
FUEL CHARGING WIRING HARNESSREMOVAL
WARNING: Do not smoke or carry lighted tobacco or open flame of any type when working on or near any fuel related components. Highly flammable mixtures are always present and can ignite. Failure to follow these instructions can result in personal injury.
1. Remove the upper intake manifold.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor and the power steering pressure sensor electrical connectors.
4. Disconnect the A/C compressor electrical connector.
5. Disconnect the engine wiring harness retainers.
6. Disconnect the oil pressure sensor electrical connector.
7. Disconnect the power steering electrical connector.
8. Lower the vehicle.
9. Disconnect the electrical connector.
10. Disconnect the fuel hose spring lock coupling.
11. Disconnect the vacuum hose and the electrical connector.
12. Disconnect the electrical connector and the vacuum hose.
13. Disconnect the generator electrical connections and the wiring harness retainer.
14. Disconnect the eight fuel injector electrical connectors.
15. Remove the bolts and remove the RH ignition coil cover.
16. Disconnect the RH ignition coil electrical connectors.
17. Remove the bolts and remove the LH ignition coil cover.
18. Disconnect the LH ignition coil electrical connectors.
19. Disconnect the RH radio capacitor electrical connector.
20. Disconnect the wiring harness retainer from the RH valve cover stud.
21. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
22. Disconnect the LH radio capacitor electrical connector and the wiring harness retainer.
23. Disconnect the wiring harness retainer and the camshaft position (CMP) sensor electrical connector.
24. Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the fuel charging wiring harness.
INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
