CHILD SAFETY SEAT TETHER ANCHOR - LATCH

REMOVAL
1. Remove the rear seat cushion.
2. Remove the rear seat backrest.







3. Remove the child safety seat tether anchor latch.
1 Position the rear insulator aside.
2 Remove the child safety seat tether anchor latch bolts.
3 Remove the tether latch.

INSTALLATION

1. WARNING: It is important that the anchor/latch be tightened to specification. Otherwise, the child's safety seat may not be properly secured and the child can be injured in case of a sudden stop or accident.

NOTE: No attempt should h made to repair a child safety seat tether anchor LATCH. Install a new part if damage is verified.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- When installing the LATCH make sure the alignment tabs are correctly aligned with the slots in the floor pan sheet metal.

2. Check the active restraint system for correct operation.
