4F50N Automatic Transaxle

Transaxle Support Insulator - 3.0L 2V

Removal
1. Raise the vehicle.
2. Remove the LH wheel and tire.





3. Place the high lift transmission jack under the transaxle.





4. CAUTION: Do not excessively raise the engine. Over-extension of the tripod CV joint could result in separation of internal parts, causing failure to the halfshafts.

Remove the engine and transaxle support insulator.
1. Remove the nut.
2. Remove the bolts.
3. Raise the transaxle enough to take the weight off the insulator.





5. NOTE: The rear engine support bracket does not need to be removed from the vehicle only positioned out of the way to remove the support insulator.

Position the rear engine support bracket out of the way.
1. Remove the bolts.
2. Position the rear engine support bracket out of the way.





6. Remove the rear engine support insulator.

Installation





1. Install the rear engine support insulator.





2. Install the rear engine support bracket and bolts.





3. Loosely install the engine support insulator bolts.
4. Remove the high lift transmission jack.





5. Tighten the bolts.
6. Install the LH wheel and tire.
7. Lower the vehicle.
