Brake Disc ShieldRemoval
1. Remove the brake disc.
2. CAUTION: Use extreme care not to damage the wheel knuckle when drilling out the brake disc shield rivets.
Remove the brake disc shield.
1 Using a center punch, knock the mandrels out of the rivets. Using a 5.5 mm (0.22 inch) drill bit, drill out the rivets. If a larger drill bit is needed, it must not be larger than 6 mm (0.24 inch).
2 Remove the dust shield.
Installation
1. NOTE: Use only aluminum rivets. Steel rivets can cause galvanic corrosion.
Install the brake disc shield.
1 Position the shield.
2 Install the rivets.
2. Install the brake disc.
