ISSUE:
Some 2003-2004 Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis and Town Car vehicles may exhibit a squeaking or rubbing noise from the front suspension. The noise may be coming from the upper spring insulators.
ACTION:
To service, inspect the front spring insulators for signs of wear (cracking/fracturing). The insulators can be easily inspected from above, without removing the spring/shock assembly from the vehicle. If necessary, replace with revised spring insulator. Refer to Section 204-01 of the Workshop Manual. If no wear is found follow normal diagnostics.
