Air Suspension Compressor
Removal and Installation1. WARNING: The electrical power to the air suspension system must be turned off prior to hoisting, jacking or towing an air suspension vehicle. Failure to do so can result in unexpected inflation or deflation of the air springs, which can result in shifting of the vehicle during these operations.
Turn the air suspension switch off.
2. Remove the engine air cleaner.
3. Remove the air compressor drier cover.
1 Remove the pushpins.
2 Remove the air compressor drier cover.
4. Remove the snorkel pushpin and remove the snorkel.
5. Disconnect the air compressor.
1 Compress the quick connect locking ring and pull out the air line.
2 Disconnect the electrical connector.
6. Raise and support the vehicle.
7. Remove the nuts.
8. Lower the vehicle.
9. Remove the air compressor.
10. NOTE: To correctly re-install the air lines into the compressor drier, a minimum of 3 mm (1/8 inch) of visible white air line must be inserted into the fitting.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
