Attachment III - Technical Information

OVERVIEW

This procedure involves inspecting the part number on the right-hand catalytic converter and if necessary, replacing the catalytic converter.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Raise the vehicle on a hoist.





2. Locate the part number on the right-hand catalytic converter. It will be stamped on the bottom of the converter and is visible through one of the slots in the lower heat shield. It may be necessary to clean the area so the part number can be read. See Figure 1.

3. If the part number on the right-hand catalytic converter is 4W13-5E212-CC, it must be replaced. Refer to the Attachment II for the service number.
