Flexible Pipe

Removal
1. Raise and support the vehicle.





2. Remove the flexible pipe.
1. Remove the six nuts (four shown).
2. Detach the flexible pipe from the hanger insulator.

Installation

1. CAUTION: The hanger insulators are constructed of a special material. Use only the correct specification insulators.

NOTE: Check the hanger insulators for damage or fatigue. Install new insulators if required. Install new gaskets.





Install the flexible pipe.
1. Install the flexible pipe in the hanger insulator.
- Lubricate the hanger insulator with MERPOL Lubricant D7AZ-19553-AA or equivalent meeting Ford Specification ESE-M99B144-B.
2. Install the six nuts (four shown).
