Fuel Injector: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Remove the upper intake manifold.
2. Disconnect the fuel line.







3. Disconnect the engine control sensor wiring from the fuel injectors.







4. Remove the fuel injection supply manifold.
^ Remove the four bolts.

NOTE: Remove the fuel injection supply manifold and the fuel injectors as an assembly.







5. Remove the six fuel injectors.







6. Inspect the two O-ring seals from each fuel injector. Install new O-ring seals as needed.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE: Lubricate the O-ring seals with clean SAE-5W-20 Super Premium Motor Oil XO-5W20-QSP or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSS-M2C153-H, to aid installation.
