Temperature Gauge: Service and Repair


Instrument Cluster Disassembly and Assembly

DISASSEMBLY
1. Remove the instrument cluster.







2. Remove the fuel gauge and fuel indicator module.







3. Remove the instrument cluster lens screws.







4. Remove the range indicator screws and remove the range indicator and cluster mask.







5. Carefully remove following gauges:
1 speedometer
2 fuel/temperature
3 tachometer

CAUTION: Handle gauges and components with care to avoid possible damage.







6. Remove the indicator bulbs and lighting bulbs.







7. Remove the instrument gauge retaining clips by compressing the clip ends together and pushing them through the back of the cluster.

CAUTION: Care must be exercised when removing the instrument gauge contact clips to avoid damaging the printed circuit.

8. Carefully remove the printed circuit from the instrument cluster.

ASSEMBLY
1. To assemble, reverse the disassembly procedure.

NOTE: New gauge contact clips must be used for assembly.
