Removal
1. Remove the upper intake manifold.
2. Remove the ignition coil and bracket.





3. CAUTION: When removing the spark plug wires, a slight twisting motion will break the seal and ease removal.

Remove the RH spark plug wires.





4. Disconnect the differential pressure feedback Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) electrical connector.





5. Remove the wiring harness nut and position the wiring harness aside.





6. Disconnect the crankcase ventilation tube from the valve cover.





7. Remove the bolts, studs and the RH valve cover.
- Remove and discard the gasket.


Installation
1. Install a new valve cover gasket on the valve cover.





2. NOTE: Apply a 5 mm (0.2 inch) dot of gasket and sealant to the front cover to cylinder head joints.

Position the valve cover and install the bolt and the studs in the sequence shown.





3. Connect the crankcase ventilation tube to the valve cover.





4. Position the wiring harness and install the nut.





5. Connect the differential pressure feedback EGR electrical connector.





6. NOTE: Apply a light film of caliper grease and dielectric compound to the interior of the spark plug boot prior to installation.

Install the RH spark plug wires.
7. Install the upper intake manifold.
